Nicole Bloomberg @nicolebloomberg Editor in Chief of Pink & Blue Magazine is talking with Dr. Lori Goldenberg, Pediatric Dentist from Smile Squad Kids Dental in Toronto (@smilesquadkids) talking about kids oral hygiene and how to prevent cavities.

Becoming a mom to 3 amazing girls was the best thing that happened to Dr. Lori, both personally and professionally. It greatly impacted the way she practices dentistry and the way she relates to children. She emphasizes the importance of listening to children- to their words and to their body language. A child needs to feel heard and understood and earning the trust of her patients is her number one priority.

👩🏻‍⚕️Dr. Lori didn’t always know that she wanted to be a dentist, but working with kids was certainly her destiny. From summer camp counsellor to behaviour therapist for kids with autism, Dr. Lori made it her mission to impact the lives of children.

She received an honours degree in Physiology in 2003 and graduated from the University of Western Ontario’s dental school in 2008. She then completed a residency program at Sickkids where she treated children with a wide spectrum of medical/developmental conditions.

Working at Sickkids solidified her love for pediatric dentistry and she went on to complete a 3 year Masters/specialty program in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto in 2012.

After that, it’s easy to make the visits fun! When Dr Lori is not at work, she can be found at the park with her kids, biking around the city, strolling through local farmer’s markets or sweating through a work out class.
