Cori Stern
Learning Specialist & Behaviour Consultant
Thanks for tuning in! Founder and Director of Cori Stern & Associates, I have over 10 years of experience working with students with various exceptionalities. I completed my undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto in Physical Health & Education with a strong focus on the study of Pedagogy. After attending the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study at the University of Toronto (OISE), I attained my Masters Degree in Child Study & Education. I am a registered Teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and a registered Behaviour Analyst with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB). As a current member of the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis (ONTABA) and the Association for Behaviour Analysis International (ABAI), I continue to grow my wealth of knowledge around working with children and adolescents with various cognitive disabilities. Through my experience working in both the private and public school sectors I have developed a level of fluency with Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum along with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. My focus on research-based practice has given rise to years of experience working with children with various Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, Executive Functioning challenges, Global Developmental Delay, along with other developmental disabilities. I share my passion for teaching and learning by reinforcing my philosophy that "everyone has the capacity to learn, it's a matter of finding out how they learn best".
