Fall is my favourite season. I love when the leaves on the trees change colour. The weather is also beautiful: not too hot, not too cold.
While this is the time of year when we tend to focus on holidays such as Thanksgiving and Halloween, there are lots of great activities that you can do with your family this fall.
Here are some of the activities that my family enjoys during the fall:
Visiting a Pumpkin Farm
Besides picking pumpkins, you can also go for wagon rides and sample some great baked goods. There are a number of pumpkin farms close to Toronto. The ones I know and would recommend are Whittamore’s Farm in Markham and Downey’s Farm in Caledon.

Going Apple Picking
My family usually goes apple picking every year. Kids enjoy using the apples they have picked to help bake pies and muffins. My family’s favourite farm is Pine Farms Orchard, which is located in King City.

Going to Spooky Camp at the Canada’s Wonderland
Spooky Camp is open on Saturdays and Sundays in October. Kids can trick-or-treat, participate in a Halloween parade or go through a corn maze. This is definitively something to do with the kids this fall!
Spending Time at Home
Sometimes it’s nice to just spend time at home on a rainy fall day. My family likes to watch movies, play games, do puzzles and bake. The most important thing though is that we get to spend quality time together as a family.
