The weekend is looking cooler and possibly rainy. Fingers crossed the rain holds off as there are a number of outdoor events going on this weekend including the Waterfront Blues Festival in Toronto’s East End, Annual Rotary Ribfest in Pickering, Clarkson’s Ultimate Block Party in Mississauga, Street Festivals in Milton and Aurora, and the Mill Pond Splash Eco-Festival in Richmond Hill!
There’s a mom 2 mom sale in the Beaches on Saturday June 2 from 11am-2pm at St. John’s Norway Church at 470 Woodbine Avenue. $3/ shopper, kids are free, lots of parking and stroller friendly. If you’re there, please come by my table, say ‘hello’, and pickup some free colouring sheets, lollipops (and candies for you!), and enter into a draw to win a cute Skip Hop backpack and lunchie (I will also update my contest page soon!).

1. Waterfront Blues in Toronto’s East End

For the 8th consecutive year, Waterfront Blues continues to speak one language only The Blues! When the event started it was positioned as Metro Torontos only genuine Blues festival and remains just that. Yes there are some of the siblings of Blues represented Soul, Funk, and R&B but its all essentially Blues. Check the website for the lineup on stage.
This is a free event. There will also be a BBQ and a childrens play area.
2. Mount Albert Sports Day & Spring Fair in East Gwillimbury

Our cities are vibrant, exciting places and so we sing with passion about our urban culture. Our varied programme explores the vast range of sounds and sights in our modern cities. We are thrilled to present a new piece especially composed for this concert by Mississauga composer Michael Coghlan.

7. Cottingham Fun Fair in Downtown Toronto

8. Street Festival in Milton

Downtown Milton Street Festival at Milton Town Hall (150 Mary Street)
Come to the festival to enjoy three stages of live entertainment and one performance area, featuring over 40 performing artists who will present live music, comedy and demonstrations. There will be music for all tastes and all ages, including folk, jazz, rock, easy listening, blues, big band, Celtic, country and much more!
Bring the whole family to enjoy this special childrens area from noon to 8:00 p.m. Air bouncies, rock wall climbing, face painting, entertainment, activities, games and more.

9. Street Festival in Aurora

Aurora Chamber Street Festival at Yonge Street in Aurora between Wellington St & Murray Drive
The Festival is family-friendly and for all ages. There are over 500 vendors on Yonge Street, fantastic Street Performers, musical entertainment and so much more. A section of Yonge Street is closed to traffic, allowing vendors and visitors full access to the street. The event happens rain or shine and parking and admission are always free.
10. Mill Pond Splash Eco-Festival in Richmond Hill
